Arghul & Mijwiz

The arghoul (also known as argol or arghûl) is an Egyptian wind instrument with a single reed, made up of two pipes.

It produces both a melodic line and a continuous drone at the same time, a defining feature of traditional Egyptian music.

Crafted from reed, the arghoul typically has six finger holes, while the drone pipe can be extended with additional segments to adjust its pitch.
