Pku Nurwind
Introducing the all-new Armenian Professional Pku. Over the past decade, master Manvel Mnatsakanyan (Nurwind) has worked to perfect the centuries-old Armenian Pku.
The pku, also spelled pzuk, is an Armenian musical instrument, derived from a family of clarinets. It has been called the national instrument of Armenia. The pku is a single-reed aerophone with seven holes and a range of one octave with the cone open. This Pku has the particularity of being made entirely of apricot wood (including the open cone) which allows for a particularly powerful and harmonious sound.
