Khaled Azooz Oud – Mazel Wood

Mazel wood brings density and depth to the tone, with strong presence and particularly rich mids. Combined with cedar, it produces a warm, full and expressive sound, with beautiful bass, generous resonance and a natural response under the risha.

The cedar soundboard contributes to a smooth attack and excellent responsiveness. Notes develop easily, with a natural sustain and enough definition to remain clear in melodic passages and more nuanced playing.

The ebony fingerboard and pegs complete this high-end construction with stability, comfort and durability. Visually, the instrument is also notable for its restrained and refined decoration around the soundholes, allowing the natural beauty of the wood to remain the main focus.

With its warm, deep and responsive character, this model is an excellent choice for advanced and professional musicians looking for an expressive Egyptian oud with real tonal richness and an elegant finish.

Please note: this instrument has a slight superficial cosmetic mark on the soundboard. It does not affect the structure, playability or acoustic qualities of the oud, but explains its current discounted price.
