The Sultan MH Walnut is an advanced Turkish oud designed for musicians looking for a serious, responsive and powerful instrument with a particularly convincing level of craftsmanship in its category.
Its walnut bowl gives the instrument a warm and elegant appearance, with beautiful natural brown tones. Combined with a cedar soundboard, this construction produces a full, lively and expressive sound, with strong presence in the midrange and excellent response under the risha.
Its tonal character is both powerful, open and precise. The instrument responds quickly, projects easily and retains a rich harmonic content, making it particularly enjoyable for melodic playing as well as for faster and more dynamic passages.
The ebony fingerboard provides a stable, comfortable and durable playing surface, while the Indian rosewood pegs complete the instrument with an elegant and traditional finish.
Thanks to its level of finishing, power, responsiveness and tonal richness, the Sultan MH stands out as one of the most interesting value-for-money options among advanced Turkish ouds under €1,000.
