Oud Sultan Smyrna II
Out-of-Stock
€420.00
The Sultan Smyrna is a particularly successful student oud, designed for musicians who want to start with a serious instrument that is comfortable to play and already benefits from a very good level of finishing.
This version stands out with its wenge and mahogany bowl, a visually elegant combination that alternates deep, dark tones with the warmer shades of mahogany. The result gives the oud a refined and well-balanced appearance while preserving a sober and traditional aesthetic.
From a tonal point of view, this combination brings a rich and well-defined character. Wenge contributes depth, precision and strong presence, while mahogany adds warmth and roundness. Together they produce a full, lively and expressive sound with very good resonance.
The cedar soundboard promotes a quick response and a smooth attack, with a pleasant sense of openness. This Smyrna therefore offers a sound that is full, warm and expressive, while retaining enough brightness to keep melodic playing clear and well defined.
The ebony fingerboard provides comfort and durability, while the wooden pegs preserve the traditional spirit of the oud. Thanks to its overall balance and particularly careful finish for this price range, it is an excellent choice for beginners who want to start in good conditions and continue progressing over time.
