Oud Sultan Smyrna I
Out-of-Stock
€420.00
The Sultan Smyrna is a particularly successful student oud, designed for musicians who want to start with a serious instrument that is comfortable to play and already very well finished.
Offered at an accessible price point, this model stands out for its remarkably careful finish for its category. The bowl construction, assembly and decorative details give the instrument an elegant and balanced appearance, far removed from overly simplified entry-level ouds.
Its walnut and sycamore bowl provides a well-balanced acoustic character, with a sound that is full, clear and lively. Walnut contributes body and warmth, while sycamore helps maintain good definition and a relatively direct response.
The cedar soundboard reinforces this character by providing an immediate response, good amplitude and generous resonance. The result is an oud with a full and bright sound, good openness and enough depth to accompany the player well beyond the first stages of learning.
The ebony fingerboard offers comfort and durability, while the wooden pegs preserve the traditional spirit of the oud. The Smyrna therefore offers a coherent, comfortable and particularly interesting package for serious beginners looking for excellent value for money.
