This model immediately stands out thanks to its spectacular decoration made of large pieces of white mother-of-pearl carefully hand-cut by artisans. Unlike traditional decorations that use simple layered shell fragments, the Jade Royale features individually carved mother-of-pearl elements creating a rich and perfectly structured geometric design.

Subtle green marquetry integrated into the pattern enhances the natural reflections of the mother-of-pearl and adds a unique visual depth. Depending on the light, the instrument reveals fascinating iridescent shades that give it a truly exceptional character.

The Sombaty shape is particularly appreciated in Egyptian and Lebanese playing styles. Thanks to its larger size and heavier weight, this darbuka offers excellent stability and allows musicians to produce deep and powerful bass tones.

With its generous dimensions (48 cm height and approximately 6.2 kg), the instrument delivers strong projection and a wide dynamic range between deep bass tones (doum) and crisp high tones (tek and ka).

Each darbuka is entirely handcrafted by the artisans of Gawharet El Fan, one of the most respected Egyptian manufacturers of professional oriental percussion instruments.

Before shipping, every instrument is carefully inspected and adjusted by our team to ensure optimal sound quality.

The darbuka comes with a padded gig bag, a spare drumhead and a tuning key.
