DARBUKA: Clay Range

Clay darbukas (goat or fish) are traditionally made of terra cotta or ceramic. These derboukas need to be heated (by friction of the hand or fire) to obtain the correct voltage before use.

These derboukas are particularly appreciated by purists for their finesse and sonic accuracy. Until now, many professional players use derboukas clay (including fish skin) during their recording studio.
